FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and measuring equipment, precisely for nondestructive testing and can be used for thickness measurement of material and product samples. The method is based on actuation of harmonic vibration of continuously varied frequency in one point of a tested unit. Echoed signal is received, actuated vibration is registered in this point of the tested unit and main resonance amplitude-frequency characteristic of the tested unit is measured. Thereafter, harmonic vibration of continuously varied frequency is actuated in another point, echoed signal is received in a new position in such a manner that it is spaced from the previous one at a distance not lees than half of the measured thickness, and radiation is carried out along the plane restricting the measured thickness. Hereafter, resonance characteristic is additionally measured. Thereby, additional amplitude-frequency characteristics are measured on the surface of the tested unit at several radiation points and points receiving electroacoustic signal. All amplitude-frequency characteristics are multiplied together forming total resonance-multiplicative amplitude-frequency characteristic.
EFFECT: increase of control accuracy and reliability.
