FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to agriculture and soil science. Soil aggregates are sampled. Luminophor particles are attached to the surface of the aggregates and then put into a column. The aggregates in the column are periodically moistened and dried, after which the soil mass is removed from the column and divided into aggregates. The obtained aggregates are dissected into parts which are then irradiated with UV-light. The portion of aggregates where the luminophor is present is determined, and from this portion, the water stability of the soil aggregates is determined.
EFFECT: more accurate determination of water stability of soil aggregates.
