FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention can be used in making cellular elements, used, for example, as carriers of catalytic converters of internal combustion engines. At least partially profiled foil sheets are chosen made from aluminium based material. These sheets are assembled into a packet and/or rolled, forming a cellular structure with channels. The foil sheets are heated on the open end of the channels, using at least one radiant heater. The cellular structure is heated on at least one of its separate parts, 2-30 s before attaining temperature ranging from 450 to 600°C and the foil sheets are joined together into a single part.
EFFECT: method is realised in continuous mode, obtaining high quality fixed joints.
