Honeycomb structure with a number of channels located mainly parallel to each other consists of the layer made of at least partially shaped foil sheets, and a casing. Layer consists of N sheets of at least partially shaped foil and N+1 plain foil sheets, two of which are external, where N is equal to 1, 2 or 3. Honeycomb structure has average length that is measured perpendicular to direction of channels and is less than 50 mm, and layer is less than 500 mm long. There described is manufacturing method of such honeycomb structure.
