FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tool drives with light source to illuminate tool end and workpiece being processed. The proposed tool drive comprises the main housing accommodating a motor, impact tool casing with outer surface, end tool holder and impact moment transfer mechanism arranged inside aforesaid impact tool casing to transfer impact moment to the said end tool holder and illuminator holder made integral with the impact mechanism casing, the illuminator being arranged in the said holder. The cover closes the impact mechanism casing surface, the casing accommodating illuminator holder and illuminator. The illuminator holder can have the illuminator seat recess, or seat recess with a slot, or can represent a ledge with a rib for illuminator. The illuminator can be furnished with a cap, or can represent a LED with a mounting board arranged in the main housing.
EFFECT: higher reliability and safety of tool illuminator.
