FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to soft pack of rod-like smoking materials such as filtered cigarettes, and to inner and outer covers of pack. Soft pack of filtered cigarettes contains inner package in the shape of rectangular parallelepiped. The package includes a bundle of cigarettes and a shell in the shape of rectangular parallelepiped covering inner package with the exception of upper surface of it. The shell includes four angular sides stretching along longitudinal direction of the inner package. The angular sides of the above mentioned shell are shaped as corresponding sloping sides. The sloping sides make the shell shape octagonal in its cross section.
EFFECT: invention allows for producing soft pack of rod-like smoking materials appeared to be different from outer shape of rectangular parallelepiped and inner and outer packages being suitable for forming such soft packs.
