FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the methods of sodium sulphite oxidation in water solution. The water solution of sodium sulphite is fed to the bead mill with vertical glass casing provided with high-speed mechanical blade stirrer and glass bead as a grinding agent . The process of sodium sulphite oxidation is carried out at the room temperature by means of oxygen-containing gas bubbling at a rate of 1.75-5.5 l/(min·kg of the download) up to the virtually complete consumption of the sodium sulphite; then the stirring and barbotage are stopped and reaction mixture is drained. The ratio of the bead mill glass casing height to its diametre is (1÷1.2):(1.3÷1) with casing diametre being 50 mm and more. The bead fraction 2.5-3.2 mm is used. Shaft and blades of the stirrer are made of textolite or Teflon.
EFFECT: invention of the method of sodium sulphite oxidation.
