FIELD: construction industry.
SUBSTANCE: method refers to manufacture of artificial crushed stone from clay material for road construction. Method involves pretreatment of clay raw material till optimum humidity and homogeneous structure is obtained, airbrick shaping, airbrick crosscutting, drying, burning of half-finished product, and crushing and dispersion into fractions. Airbrick is shaped by pressing clay mass through a shaping grid in the form of a block of hollow bars adjacent to each other and provided with longitudinal slots uniformly distributed along their surface. Airbrick crosscutting is performed at the subsequent separation of hollow bars in the blocks. Half-finished product is dried and burnt after one-row laying of separated hollow bars of blocks.
EFFECT: improving density, strength, cold resistance, reducing water absorption ability of ceramic crushed stone, eliminating particulate emission during production process, improving the processing rate, as well as the possibility of producing items of various granulometric composition.
