FIELD: engineering industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to vacuum equipment, and mainly - to filler traps cooled with liquid cryogenic product. Vacuum cold trap consists of a vertical cylindrical housing provided with inlet and outlet branch pipes, vessel with cryogenic liquid located in the housing, and cooled screen made from gas-tight material and located therearound. Removable bottom is located in the screen lower part. Screen is connected to the vessel by two ribs installed on the vessel and crossing the axes of inlet and outlet holes made in the screen. Vacuum multi-layer insulation is applied to external surface of screen and removable bottom, and to upper part of the vessel with cryogenic liquid. Vessel with cryogenic liquid is made in the form of two vertical cylindrical vessels that are connected in series. Diametre of upper vessel is bigger than that of the lower one. Cooled cylindrical screen is attached tightly with its upper edge to the lower part of cylindrical shell of upper vessel. Removable bottom is installed on the bottom of lower vessel; at that extreme edge of removable bottom is tightly adjacent to lower edge of cylindrical screen.
EFFECT: increasing volume of vessel with cryogenic liquid due to more effective use of operating trap volume.
