FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to sorption purification of aqueous solutions. Proposed is a method of making a magnetocontrollable sorbent, containing a core made from ferromagnetic material, covered with a carbon casing. A solution of an active agent is deposited on the surface of the carbon casing, for example Br2, J2, microelements. The granules of the magnetocontrollable sorbent have size ranging from 10 to 100 nm. The adsorption isotherm is plotted for the active agent from the solution on the surface of the carbon casing of the magnetocontrollable sorbent, covering the ferromagnetic core. Based on the obtained adsorption isotherm, an amount of active agent is added, which provides for filling degree of the sorbent surface with active agent of not less than 2/3 of the saturation value.
EFFECT: proposed is a magnetocontrollable sorbent, obtained using the above described method, as well as the method of treating water using the proposed sorbent.
