FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to aircraft steering column. The proposed column is fitted vertically between the pilot seat and control panel and consists of a vertical rack with its top part furnished with a hand wheel head that accommodates the hand wheel. The rack bottom is fixed on the wheel pitch rotation shaft or no a horizontal tube jointed together the left and right control posts. The steering column centre part features a stepwise ledge representing a bend that moves the central part of aforesaid rack away from the pilot seat support and passes to the column bottom part that features larger length compared to aforesaid ledge. Note that the said bottom part is turned and directed towards the attachment point displaced together with hand wheel pitch rotation shaft of aforesaid horizontal tube to under the pilot seat.
EFFECT: better visibility of control panel.
