FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly to composition of white cast irons. It can be used for manufacturing of wear-resisting parts by methods of casting and welding of worn-out surface. White cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 1.89-2.68, silicon 0.74-1.66, manganese 0.27-1.69, chrome 5.90-9.77, vanadium 5.02-7.33, molybdenum 0.18-1.35, copper 0.37-1.56, barium 0.02-0.07, rare-earth metals 0.01-0.06, iron - the rest. Additionally Σ = %Mn + %Ni + %Cu = 1.54-2.92%.
EFFECT: receiving of cast iron with reduced solidity and satisfactory annealed cutability with keeping of high solidity and wear resistance after hardening and tempering.
