FIELD: heating systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to heat engineering, and can be used in heating systems producing hot water as a final product - heat carrier. The effect is achieved in the heating boiler with top coal feed to combustion zone, which includes a grate, an ash pit, cylindrical housing with fuel tube located along its axis and forming together with the housing an annular combustion chamber, and air supply branch pipe; at that, above ash-pit coaxially relative to fuel tube there located is a circular grate with diametre equal to diametre of inner surface of cylindrical housing and comprising two half-circles cut on diametre, which can move freely, and value of clearance between grate and lower edge of fuel tube is determined by maximum angle value of natural fuel slope considering minimum allowable thickness of fuel bed near inner wall of cylindrical housing.
EFFECT: improving efficiency of heating boiler, cheapening of the structure thereof and rational use of solid fuel.
