FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to medicine, namely, to physiology of the visual system. Pairs of light pulses are shown simultaneously using 10 pairs of light emitting diodes. On the first stage, adjusted pulse sent to the second light emitting diode is delayed or ended 5 ms earlier against the beginning or the end of the reference pulse sent to the first light emitting diode. In each of the following pairs, duration of the reference pulse remains stable, while duration of the delay or early ending of the adjusted pulse is increased by 5 ms compared to the delay or early ending of the adjusted pulse of the preceding pair. Pair of light emitting diodes with the biggest number is detected, wherein it is subjectively felt that the reference and adjusted pulses start or end simultaneously. On the second stage, adjusted pulse sent to the second light emitting diode of the first pair is delayed or ended earlier against begging or end of the reference pulse sent to the first light emitting diode of the first pair by the time of delay or early ending equal to the delay or early ending of the adjusted pulse against the reference one of the pair of light emitting diodes determined on the first stage of testing. In each of the following pairs duration of the reference pulse remains stable while duration of delay or early ending of the adjusted pulse is increased by 1 ms against beginning or ending of the reference pulse compared to the to the delay or early ending of the adjusted pulse against beginning or the end of the reference pulse of the preceding pair. Pair of light emitting diodes with the biggest number is determined wherein it is subjectively felt that both reference and adjusted pulses start or end simultaneously. On the third stage, adjusted pulse send to the second light emitting diode of the first pair is delayed or ended earlier against beginning or the end of the reference pulse sent to the first light emitting diode of the first pair by the time of delay or early ending equal to the delay or early ending of the adjusted pulse, determined on the second stage. In each of the consecutive pairs duration of the delay or early ending of the adjusted pulses are is increased by 0.1 ms. Pair of light emitting diodes with the biggest number is detected, wherein it is subjectively felt that both reference and adjusted pulses start or end simultaneously. Received value of the duration of the delay or early ending of the adjusted pulse is accepted as the evaluation of the response time of the visual system of the person.
EFFECT: method widens range of means of determination of the time of response lag of the human visual system.
