CALIBRATION OF PRESSURE SENSOR DURING ENGINEERING PROCESS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G01L27/00

Abstract RU 2358250 C2

FIELD: physics; measurement.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a sensor, which measures parameters of an engineering process in industrial production. The invention particularly pertains to determination of characteristics of pressure sensors, used in monitoring and controlling engineering processes. The method of determining characteristics of a pressure sensor and an information processing device includes the following stages: pressure is applied on to the pressure sensor and information processing device, within the pressure range used for determining the characteristics; output signals are received from the sensor, corresponding to the applied pressure; and a the corrective ratio is determined based on the said output signals, coming from the pressure sensor. The applied pressure is unevenly distributed in the above mentioned pressure range, used for determining the characteristics, and the corrective ratio is a function of the applied pressure, unevenly distributed in the pressure range. The above mentioned stage of applying pressure includes application of pressure, which in the lower pressure region is less spaced out compared to the region of higher pressure. The above mentioned stage for applying pressure is carried out at more than a single temperature value. The stage for applying pressure involves movement of fluid medium through a primary converting element for creating a pressure drop. A calibration device is meant for connection with above mentioned information processing device and for realising the method. Also the information processing device contains correction values stored in memory unit, which are determined in accordance with the method.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of measuring characteristics.
