FIELD: physics; radio.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to radar measurements and is aimed at improving identification of air targets. The technical outcome of the invention is elimination of shortcomings of a radar station with inverse aperture synthesising and frequency tuning, based on mismatch of reference frequency with frequency of a received signal due to the delay time of the reflected signal exceeding the repetition period of emitted pulses. The two-level design of the identification device, which employs neural network technology, provides for classification (establishing class) and identification (determination of specific type) of the tracked target. This outcome is achieved by addition of a prototype electronic delay circuit, system of measuring speed, as well as a device for two-level neural network identification, consisting of a storage buffer, inverse fast Fourier transformation unit, random access memory device, neural network classifiers, digital switch and a display for identification results, connected to each other and components of the prototype in a certain manner.
