SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to optical recording and can be used for logic overwriting on an optical write once disc which of the BD-WO type. According to the invention, recording is carried with substitution of data, for which there is request on overwriting in the given area of the disc. Recording is done in another area, physically separate from the given area of the disc. Management information is created and recorded with the objective of playing back data, physically recorded with substitution.
EFFECT: possibility of carrying out logic overwriting of data on a disc and, consequently, increased efficiency of using a high density write once optical disc while preserving its physical characteristics.
