FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering immediately dealing with design of an electrode containing a cross-linked polymer coating layer to have been formed on the surface of the electrode active material particles without interference with the porous structure formed by the electrode active material particles interconnected within the electrode bulk. Additionally proposed are a technique for such an electrode fabrication and an electrochemical device containing such an electrode. The technical effect consists in the proposed electrode (containing a cross-linked polymer coating layer to have been formed on the surface of the electrode active material particles) potentially enabling battery safety improvement with minimal deterioration of the battery quality.
EFFECT: battery safety improvement with minimal deterioration of the battery quality.
