FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to functional diagnostics and can be used in clinical inspection of the patient and health estimation. Measurement of chest circumference is followed with calculation of inferior thoracic aperture radius in maximal inspiration (R2) and expiration (R1). Calculation of superior thoracic aperture (t) is ensured by measuring Kronig field width with measuring the distance of the most distant points of Kronig field. Its half is accepted as radius. Thorax height is measured in maximum expiration (H1) as distance of clavicle middle to inferior pulmonary border determined by percussion. Then an echocardiographic cell is established in subcostal position with delivering diaphragmatic liver edge with an adjoining pericardium. The cell is displaced 3-5 cm to the right delivering behind cardiac reflection. The patient is requested to make a deep breath to evaluate the distance of diaphragm displacement. Thorax height is calculated in maximal inspiration (H2) as total chest heights (H1) and the distances of diaphragm displacement. Chest capacity is calculated in maximal inspiration (V2) by formula: V2=1/3pH2(R2 2+R2r+r2), while chest capacity in maximal expiration is calculated by formula: V1=1/3pH1(R1 2+R1r+r2). Lung capacity (ΔV) is presented as a difference of chest capacities in maximal inspiration and expiration.
EFFECT: application of the invention provides quantitative estimation of external respiration function.
