FIELD: transportation; conveyor.
SUBSTANCE: sorting device used for sorting objects, as to the size, like fish or shrimp contains a lot of endless conveyor belts located near each other. Distance separating adjacent conveyor belts is more on the unloading end than on the loading end of the above belts. Each conveyor belt has a profile with inclined sides so that between adjacent conveyor belts of each pair there formed is a V-shaped sorting channel with continuous inclined sides. Each side is located at an angle to conveyor belt axis, the value of which varies within 70°-85° in order to provide stable position of the object being sorted in each channel. Each conveyor belt consists of many hinged sections forming the above continuous inclined sides. Each hinged section is provided with an opening made on the crest between inclined sides. The proposed device is used for sorting the following objects as to the size: scaled or non-scaled shrimp tails, lobster tails, fish including capelin, sardine, herring, scomber, horse mackerel, menhaden, anchovy, whiting, grouper, codfish, pollack, haddock, oysters, seashells and mussels.
EFFECT: improving sorting efficiency of delicate objects.
