FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: threads of melt polyethylene terephthalate from polycondensation reactor are hardened, granulated and cooled down to temperature in the range from 50°C to temperature close to Tg of polymer, by means of contact with water. Hot granules are transported with further drying for water removal into chiller.
EFFECT: avoiding of amorphous granules cooling down to room temperature with water or cold air, significant power savings may be obtained.
