FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fragmentation and common shells. The proposed imitator of fragments of the ammunition natural and preset fragmentation represents a convex polyhedron with eight cutting ribs. Note here that two polyhedron bases, two triangular lateral sides, four triangular front and rear sides are made mirror like. Six sides have triangular shape, two bases feature the shape of isosceles triangles, while the mean magnitude of the shape parametre makes 1.73. The polyhedron base apex angle equals 30 degrees, the remaining angles at the opposite apex make 75 degrees each.

EFFECT: higher validity of data in testing anti-fragment strength of various composite compositions.
