FIELD: means protecting people, equipment and buildings against fragmentation effect of explosive devices used by terrorists. SUBSTANCE: protective structure of antifragmentation cover includes layers of woven and unwoven materials with increased ballistic resistance separated by layers of gas-filled material with closed pores which does not form any hitting fragments under explosive loading. Gas-filled material possesses apparent density 10.0-100.0 kg/cu m, tensile strength over 0.5 MPa. Total thickness of gas-filled material amounts to 0.5-5.0 thickness of unwoven material. Usage of gas- filled material in protective structure enables ballistic resistance of cover to be raised and heaving of antifragmentation cover by explosion to be slowed down which provides for holding of low-flying fragments. EFFECT: increased ballistic resistance and protective characteristics of antifragmentation cover. 1 dwg
