FIELD: marking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric drip jet hardware intended for marking various products in whatever branch of national economy. The proposed method of controlling drip formation in printing head of electric drip jet marker comprises gating the drip jet in printing head by a pulsed light source at the drip formation frequency or at multiple frequency and projecting the drip jet micro strobogram onto optical receiver. The CCD-receiver or a miniature video camera makes the latter. Note here that the strobe pulse phase is shifted relative to drip formation, along the drip formation period. The drip formation moment is fixed when the neck between a continuous jet and the first drip is broken, for the optimum phase drip formation phase correlation to be determined whereat electrifying pulse terminates after drip break-off.
EFFECT: drip formation control in printing head.
