SUBSTANCE: invention refers to automatic control and can be used in systems with abundant number of sensors, for example angular rate sensors the failure of one of which shall not lead to control system failure. Method for determining the sensor failed in redundant system is based on periodic checking of the ratio of association of measured parametres of movement characterising successful operation of sensors, fixation of distortion moment of ratio of association, change from this moment of subsequently scaling coefficient of measured signal of each sensor, and when ratio of association reaches some specified Δ value (Δ - small value) there fixed is that failed sensor the scaling coefficient whereof was changing when ratio of association reached the specified Δ value.
