FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: coil windings with resin insulation, which do not involve moulding, are made by depositing continuous fibres (4), introduced into the quasi-solid matrix of epoxy resin, for example in form of tape (2; 2a, 2b), on windings (3) of a coil. Tape (2; 2a, 2b) is locally heated to melting point of the polymer matrix and then pressed to the rotating main part (1) of the coil. The heated and molten resin of the tape (2; 2a, 2b), which is pressed to coil (1), flows under pressure into the cavity and gap between windings (3) of the coil, and fills them such that, windings (3) of the coil are hermetically insulated. After heating and pressing the tape using device (7, 5), the molten epoxy resin becomes solid again. That way, the solidification process is significantly simplified and shorter compared to existing processes.
EFFECT: provision for more efficient production in terms of time and losses, as well as ecological aspects.
