FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the construction of regular packing, which are used the process of heat-mass-exchange in coolers during the process of evaporative cooling of water in closed systems of water recycling, absorption, cleaning and drying of natural gas, and also as a mixer of liquid and gaseous flows, as contact elements in mixing condensers and bio-filters. Regular packing consists of blocks, assembled from horizontal elements placed in parallel rows. In rows adjacent by height elements are located mutually perpendicular, and in parallel rows they are located with a displacement from the axis of symmetry. Elements are made in the form of ordinary helicoids, whose arms have a cross-section in the form of a trapezium with an extension to the centre line of the helicoid. The step between adjacent helicoids in each row is in the range of 1.1-2.5 of the diametre of the helicoid. Displacement of elements in parallel rows is 0.2-1.0 of the diametre of the helicoid, forming a volumetric structure intercrossing the slantwise directed channels. The arms of the helicoids are made with holes, located on a line, parallel to the generatrix of the helicoid with a step of 0.4-0.8 of the diametre of the helicoid, and the diametre of the hole is 0.1-0.3 of the diametre of the helicoid Blocks are placed along the height of the apparatus with a clearance which is 4.0-12.0 of the diametre of the helicoid. The generatrix of the outer edge of the arm of the helicoid is made with sinusoidal surfaces, whose step and amplitude are equal to triple the thickness of the arm of the helicoids at their base.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of the processes of heat-mass-exchange in regular packing by 10-15%
