FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: volume hydromechanical gear (VHG) comprises inlet and outlet shafts, two hydraulically joined hydraulic machines (HM) and four-link planetary mechansim. The first link of four-link planetary mechanism is kinematically connected to inlet shaft, the second one - to outlet shaft, the third - to uncontrolled HM, the fourth - to controlled HM, by changing of its control parametre from -1 to +1. Rotations of controlled hydraulic machine are maintained as constant, relative rotations of uncontrolled hydraulic machine are varied from -1 to +1. Rotations of outlet shaft are increased from zero to maximum, rotations of inlet shaft are increased 1.6-2 times to maximum. Ratio of reduction rates from fourth link to the first link with the second and third links in four-link planetary mechanism makes 1.3-1.5.
