FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device contains an optically transparent medium, bounded by intersecting surfaces, a source of optical radiation, apparatus for converting optical radiation into visible radiation, made in form of a luminescent layer, a dispersion layer, located between the surface of the transparent medium and the luminescent layer, and a reflecting layer, put behind the luminescent layer. In the fist version the intersecting surfaces form a dihedral angle and an opposite surface, on the side of which is put the source of optical radiation. The luminescent layer is put on one of the half planes of the dihedral angle. In the second version the transparent medium is bounded by a plane and cone shaped and cylindrical surfaces. The source of optical radiation is put on the cylindrical surface and the luminescent layer is put on the cone shaped surface.
EFFECT: more efficient use and increased uniformity of radiation of the light flux, possibility of varying colour and light intensity by changing properties of the luminescent, dispersion and reflecting layers.
