FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to nuclear engineering and is intended for manufacturing cans for fuel elements of nuclear reactors. Manufacturing method of nuclear reactor fuel element can involves the following operations: supply of a tube, tube end cutting, can length control, chamfer forming, can number marking, removing chips from can cavity, sealing of one can end by welding a plug of special design to the can, can weighing, and marked can number reading. Plug is welded to one of the can edges by contact butt welding. Marked can number reading is carried out with an electronic optical device further after weighing. Can weight is identified with marked can number. The above operations are performed in process flow. Can is moved in process flow step by step, mainly with transport combs.
EFFECT: reducing labour input of can manufacturing and increasing can quality.
