FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: offered invention refers to ophthalmology and covers therapy of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. An ophthalmologic polyester filament of the area not exceeding that of sclera thinning region is laid in a projection of retinal hole and pulled to sclera. A silicone sponge is arranged under the cloth within a projection of retina rupture and fixed to the cloth by series of interrupted sutures. The therapeutic method ensures reliable fixation of extrascleral scleroplastic material within a projection of retina rupture to form impression bank blocking rupture without its direct fastening to sclera.
EFFECT: thereby problem of retinal detachment is solved if sclera thinning region, myopic and physiological staphylomas are observed.
