FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of nuclear engineering, namely to solving problem of cooling of active zone of fast nuclear reactors. Claimed method of cooling of fast reactor active zone lies in the following: cooling water which is not heated to the saturation temperature is supplied on active zone inlet. In order to obtain low density of inhibitor, necessary to ensure rigid spectrum of neutrons, characteristic of fast reactor, water is transformed into steam directly in active zone by successive forward-flow washing of its steam-generating heat-emitting elements with twisted flow of heat-carrier. Fast reactor active zone consists of steam-generating heat-emitting channels, made in form of ring heat-emitting elements, stopped at one end. Non-heat-emitting tubes for supply of cooling water heat-carrier, placed with butt and radial ring clearances are installed inside heat-emitting elements from the open-end side by principle of Fild tubes. Cavities of heat-emitting elements from internal and external sides are connected with passages for heat-carrier, ensuring successive washing-off by the latter of sides of heat-emitting elements, in ring clearances and on external surface of heat-emitting elements screw guides, intended for radial twisting of heat-carrier flow along internal and external surfaces of ring heat-emitting elements, are placed.
EFFECT: application of invention, ensuring generation of saturated or overheated steam directly in active zone and at the same time excluding heat-emission crisis, consisting of steam-generating channels.
