FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to forensic medicine, and can be used for determining prescription of human death by applying instrumental method of examination (thermometry) of its corpse. Repeated posthumous thermometry of brain is performed. Calculation of thermal constant of regular stage of body cooling is carried out by formula: , where τ1 - constant of time of exponent of regular cooling stage; T1 - brain temperature, obtained during first temperature measuring (°C); T2 - brain temperature obtained during second temperature measuring (°C); Δτ - time interval between temperature measuring (hour); In - natural logarithm. Calculation of constant of irregular cooling stage is carried out by formula: . Step-by-step modeling of posthumous temperature is carried out by formula , where TB - deep body temperature, (°C); TS - temperature of body surface, (°C); TE - temperature of environment, (°C); TTO - deep body temperature at previous step of modeling, (°C) (at first step of modeling is taken equal 36.7°C); TSO - temperature of body surface at previous step of modelling, (°C) (at first step of modeling is taken equal 32.8°C); τ- prescription of human death (starting with 0); e - exponent; τ1 - constant of time of exponent of regular cooling stage; τ2 - constant of time of exponent of irregular cooling stage. Dynamic line of modeled corpse temperature is built, successively calculated value of deep temperature at given step of modeling (TB(τ)) is checked against value, obtained at its first measuring (T1). If condition TB(τ)>T1>T(τ+Δτ) is fulfilled, it is concluded that prescription of human death is within τ-(τ+Δτ) hours. Method can be used during first hours of posthumous period with high accuracy of establishing death prescription.

EFFECT: ensuring possibility to establish death prescription during first hours of posthumous period.
