FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for burning process emissions of flammable vapours and gases and can be used in chemical, petrochemical and oil-processing industry. The flare system contains a process furnace and a flare pipe with an automatic gate fitted on it, made in form of a rotary valve, attached to a shaft with eccentricity with respect to the axis of the pipe, loaded lever and diaphragm actuator, the pusher of which joined to the lever. The space below the diaphragm is linked to the flare pipe after the valve. Parallel to the loads and through a coupling rod, the lever is connected to a hydraulic cylinder, the body of which is rigidly mounted. The chambers of the hydraulic cylinder filled with liquid are connected in parallel to a throttle and a return valve, which lets liquid from one chamber of the hydraulic cylinder to another during movement of loads and piston of the hydraulic cylinder upwards when the rotary valve is open, and prevent passage of liquid during movement of the loads and piston of the hydraulic cylinder downwards when the valve is closed.
EFFECT: reconfiguration of oscillation of the valve of a flare system during emission of gas on the torch by slowing down closure of the valve compared to the speed at which it opens.
