SUBSTANCE: invention relates to generating paths of acoustic pulse-echo systems. Predominant application area includes hydroacoustics; ultrasonic examination. Sounding signal generator contains synchroniser connected through pulse generator to D-input of D-trigger and sine-wave generator connected through comparator with "C" control input of D-trigger and with signal input of analogue switch, which control input is connected to D-trigger output and output - with input of power amplifier.
EFFECT: increase in detection accuracy of time and amplitude response of echo signals.
