FIELD: computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering and is meant for use as intelligent information technology when making a local network. In the operating state, the local network contains one switching master local network station (LNS), several switching and non-switching slave local network stations and one information transmission line or several duplicated with shared access and centralised determined management of message exchange between legitimate subscribers of all local network stations. The method is realised through composition, sending on the network, receiving from the network and breaking down two types of control frames, data frames of one type and three types of response frames. In the information process senders of types of frames and their sequence is determined taking into account status of the network, corresponding to the operating or first anomalous state, arising with simultaneous appearance in the network of more than one switching master local network station during switching, due to failure, of at least one switching slave local network station to master state.

EFFECT: improved quality of local network through intelligent composition of six types of frames.
