FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device contains at least a single housed cyclone unit providing for whirling of the air for separation of dust and contamination particles therefrom and a dust capture unit for collection of dust and contamination particles as may have been separated by the cyclone unit. The cyclone housing has an air inlet and an air outlet parts and is positioned so that its longitudinal axis is horizontally aligned. The cyclone housing is designed to be represented by a convex cylinder shaped so that its maximum diametrer is that of its air outlet part therethrough the air is discharged. The cyclone housing may be composed of at least two interconnected cylindrical-shaped sections with their diametres gradually increasing and their lengths in the direction of their longitudinal axes being either identical or otherwise. The cyclone housing may contain at least a single linear cylindrical-shaped section with its diametre invariable and, connected thereto, at least a single convex cylindrical-shaped section with its diametre gradually increasing.
EFFECT: reduction of the level of noise as produced by the device as well as of pressure loss therein.
