FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of contact welding and may be used in machine buildings and other industries for manufacture of parts with overlapping welded joint, which comprises flat part with welded rod of cylindrical section. Slots are arranged in flat part with creation of links between them. Number of slots is less by one that welding dots, number of which is determined from the following condition: Eslot < nFdot, where n is number of welding dots, Fslot is force acting at welded joint, Fdot is minimum force of destruction at welding dot cut, based on thickness and metal of welded flat part. Slots are arranged as longitudinal, in direction perpendicular to axis of rod installation, with width of 2÷10 mm and length defined from the following condition L > t3, mm, where t3 is minimum pitch between welding dots with account of welding flux shunting to previous dot. Flat part is installed on lower electrode arranged with contact surface equal to width of link b1, which is based on the following condition: b1=[dn+(1÷5)], mm, where dn is diametre of welding dot cast nucleus. Rod is placed onto flat part, and welding is carried out.

EFFECT: improved strength and quality of welded joint, reduced length of welded parts overlapping, reduced power consumption and lower metal intensity of welded parts.
