FIELD: communication devices.

SUBSTANCE: described is a method of assigning channel information on channel quality in a communication system. After fast switching from a service base station binding to a target base station binding, a mobile station detects absence of channel information on channel quality, assigned from the target base station binding. If absence of assigned channel information on channel quality is detected, the mobile station sends a request for assigning channel information on channel quality to the target base station binding. Upon receiving a request for assigning channel information on channel quality, the target base station binding detects the need for assigning channel information on channel quality for the mobile station.

EFFECT: provision for fast connection establishment between a base station with a target base station binding after fast base station switching.
