FIELD: communication devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to data transfer networks. For each fragmented datagram the filter unit obtains filtering parametres of at least receiving datagram fragments. When all filtering parametres are accessible, the unit uses one or more filters with respect to filtering parametres, so as obtain a filtering result for the datagram and records the filtering result in a routing table. Before obtaining the filtering result, the unit stores all fragments received for the datagram in memory. When the filtering result becomes accessible, the unit processes all fragments already received for the datagram, in accordance with the filtering result. While receiving each remaining fragment for the datagram, the unit immediately processes the fragment in accordance with the filtering result. When the last fragment is received, the unit clears the memory and entries in the routing table for the datagram.

EFFECT: reduction of required volume of processed information, as well as load on a communication channel.
