FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of mining industry and may be used for coal classification in mines, coal strip mines and warehouses. Method for coal classification includes coal transportation by means of scraper conveyor and separation of transported mass of coal into classes. Coal mass is displaced along classification grid inbuilt into bottom of scraper conveyor, therefore providing for wave motion of coal mass along conveyor panline with intensive vertical displacement of separate coal pieces since panline of scraper conveyor is installed under alternating angle to ground, and due to installation of panline rods with upper facet turn opposite to coal mass motion. Mixing of coal mass is provided by forced motion of particles to central longitudinal axis of panline since classification grid bars are directed at the right angle opposite to each other and accordingly at the angle of 45° in direction of conveyor chain motion. Small particles are actively separated from large pieces and drop down through classification grid, which provides for efficient separation of coal mass into classes.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of coal classification, and also provision of graded fractions cleaning from finer coal fraction.
