FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to metal plastic working and may be used in profile cutting of ends of small diametre tubes from plastic materials, for instance in manufacturing of instruments. Tube end is previously flattened, and flattened end walls profile cutting is further performed. Besides flattening of tube end is carried out between two plates mirror-installed relative to tube axis with provision of their plastic deformation until closure of internal surfaces of walls and creation of transition zone from flattened section to cylindrical section of tube. Profile cutting of walls is performed from two sides of flattened tube end with creation of petals and groove, afterwards tube is turned by 90 degrees relative to longitudinal axis, and cylindrical shape is given to zone of transition from groove to cylindrical section.
EFFECT: reduction of material and labour expenses.
