FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for mechanical processing of pipes from carbon fibre reinforced plastic and can be used in making solar cell frames. Method consists in that pipe is installed in mandrel, crimped by mandrel and its cutting. Then, after cutting, thermo-shrinking mandrel of cylindrical shape of required length and diameter, which is determined from ratio D1 = D*1.3, is mounted on pipe parallel to its axis, where D1 is internal diameter of heat-shrinkable mandrel of cylindrical shape; D is outer diameter of carbon fibre reinforced plastic pipe. Heat-shrinkable holder of cylindrical shape is left from outer edge of pipe. After installation heat-shrinkable mandrel is subjected to thermal treatment along its entire surface, providing its plastic deformation to closure of inner surface of walls of heat-shrinkable mandrel with outer diameter of pipe. Protruding end of the heat-shrinking mandrel is bent inside the pipe. Then, the radii are milled in the pipe together with heat-shrinking cylindrical mandrels.

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of time of milling treatment and elimination of splitting of carbon fibre.
