METHOD OF SEALING OFF MULTICONDUCTOR CABLE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC H02G15/04 

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method of sealing off cables lies in that, after assembling cable termination with solderless joint into a bundle, position of cut cable conductors relative each other is fixed. An external tube from thermocontractale material is worn around the bundle of cable termination, and is then shrunk, melting the hot-melt adhesive material placed under the external tube. Before fixing the position of the cable conductors, an inner tube from thermocontractable material is worn around each separate cable conductor and then shrunk. An adhesive strip from hot-melt sealing mastic is then deposited on the surface of each inner tube of the cable conductor on the side facing inside the bundle of cable conductors. The adhesive strip is placed against the stop onto the cable termination, heated until softening and the cable conductors are then brought together, fixing their position in the bundle relative each other through the said adhesive strips.

EFFECT: tight sealing multiconductor cable with high density and high reliability of connection.
