SUBSTANCE: invention concerns communication equipment and can be applied in wireless communication systems. In one version of communication system implementation with control data exchange, device for data processing in communication system, including detector of control message transfer indicator for transmission from base station to mobile station over traffic channel; selector of traffic channel pause timer, basing on the transmission indicator, with pause timer defining time period over which traffic channel is disconnected if it is not used; device sending the transmission indicator to a base station indicated; detector of the transmission indicator of the control message, basing on at least one of data size of the control message and duration of connection between mobile station and the base station; device establishing traffic channel for transmission of the control message with selected traffic channel pause timer.
EFFECT: efficient utilisation of traffic channel resources.
