FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to transfer of service in passive mode without participation of mobile station in wireless communication system, which realises transfer of packet data. For this purpose, being in passive mode, mobile unit may change packet zones, besides various packet zones are serviced with at least one different internal element without identification of variation in system. Variation of packet zone does not necessarily initiate establishment of communication route for mobile unit, while packet data is not ready for transfer. In one of versions of realisation mobile support is adapted to system and is blocked in mobile unit by specification in message about system parameters sent by system and received in mobile unit.

EFFECT: efficient transfer of service in passive mode, which lowers use of Internet Protocol (IP) network resources.
