FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a wireless communication system. While in passive mode, a mobile node can change packet zones, wherein different packet zones are served by at least one different internal element without identifying the change in the system. Change of the packet zone optionally initiates communication routing for the mobile node until packet data are ready for transmission. In one version of implementation, mobile support is adapted to the system and is blocked on the mobile node by an indication in a message on system parameters, transmitted by the system and received at the mobile node.

EFFECT: efficient handover in passive mode, which reduces usage of IP resources in a network, as well as efficient handover in massive mode without participation of a mobile station, which reduces network wireless resource requests.
