FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of environment protection and can be used for ecological control of amount of technological emissions into atmosphere, in particular, of wood powder emissions by timber enterprises. Method lies in determining amount of wood powder emitted into atmosphere basing on calculation which uses wood powder emissions in time unit determined by formula: where A is amount of wood processed during an hour (in cubic meters), K0 is coefficient of conversion of cubic meters of wood into tons, K1 is coefficient of sawdust output (in %), K2 is coefficient of wood powder output (in %). Coefficients K1 and K2 are determined experimentally basing on direct determining of weight of sawdust and wood powder formed while obtaining definite amount of production. Gross amount of emitted wood powder is calculated by formula G=QK0K1K2 (t/year), where Q is amount of wood processed during a year (in cubic meters).
EFFECT: method is simple in application and allows to increase accuracy of quantitative estimation of wood powder by logging equipment.
