FIELD: physics, measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of aviation, namely to systems for performance of flight tests of aircrafts (AC) for measurement of total thrust of their engines. Method includes definition of AC engines total thrust in process of flight by means of measurement of AC flight velocity by aircraft sensors at discrete equidistant moments of time, measurements of longitudinal and normal overloads, velocity head. Moreover, measurements are carried out at unstable flight modes, in which velocity head of air flow is varied fast relative to the initial one in balancing mode. As initial balancing flight, horizontal flight is accepted at preset flight. Assessment of total thrust is done, using aerodynamic ratios of aircraft condition vector, equation of AC movement in longitudinal plane, by axes of coordinates X, Y with the help of computer.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of assessment of measurements of total thrust of aircraft engines in process of flight.
