FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention deals with a fuel cell system containing a liquid hydrogen reservoir. In accordance with the invention concept the fuel cell system (100) contains a storage facility (6), fuel cell (3), fuel supply facility (7), hydrogen recirculation system (104), (105), (3b) and facility (14) for supply of boilout gas. In the storage facility (6) liquid hydrogen is stored. The fuel cell (3) utilises gaseous hydrogen as fuel gas. The fuel supply facility (7) supplies gaseous hydrogen to the fuel cell (3) anode. Gaseous hydrogen is produced as a result of vaporisation of the liquid hydrogen stored in the storage facility (6). The hydrogen recirculation system (104), (105), (3b) incorporates the fuel cell (3) anode. The facility (14) for supply of boilout gas supplies boilout gas generated in the storage facility (6) into the hydrogen recirculation system (104), (105), (3b).
EFFECT: development of a fuel cell utilising gaseous hydrogen as fuel gas.
